Live online classes in Nepal
Indian culture classesfor families in Nepal.
Sanskrit, shlokas, chanting, the Ramayana and the Gita, storytelling, public speaking, Bharatanatyam and yoga, taught live from India, in small batches, at hours that work in Nepal.
A child in Nepal who reads Nepali already reads Devanagari, the script Sanskrit is written in, so a learner here usually starts with the alphabet already in hand rather than as the first term's work. The clock is almost India's own: Nepal runs fifteen minutes ahead, so the batches fall at 8:15 and 9:15 in the morning and 7:15 and 8:15 in the evening. What needs checking is the day. Nepal's weekly holiday is Saturday alone, so both Saturday batches work, while on Sunday, a school and working day, families here take the evening batch.

What families in Nepal can learn
Every class below is open to every age, and every one is taught live in a small batch.
Samskara Seeding
through Culture & ScripturesThe texts, the stories and the customs, taught so a child grows up inside the tradition rather than visiting it once a year. This is the track most families begin with.
Confidence Building
Voice, argument and presenceSpeaking, debating and standing in front of a room. The skills that decide whether what a child knows ever reaches anybody else.
Art & Craft
Dance, drawing and making, in the Indian traditionClassical dance, drawing, painting and making, taught through the forms and festival crafts this culture produced, including live online Bharatanatyam for beginners. Batches are opening now; timings are arranged with the families who join.

Questions from families in Nepal
My child reads Nepali. Where would they start?
Further along than most. Reading Devanagari removes the first hurdle every other beginner has, and much of the vocabulary will feel familiar. The sounds and the grammar of Sanskrit are still new, so the free trial class is where the teacher sees what your child already has and places them accordingly.
Why is the class at 8:15 and not 8:00?
Because Nepal is fifteen minutes ahead of India, one of the very few countries on a 45-minute offset from UTC. Our batches are set in Indian time, so every one of them lands at a quarter past the hour in Kathmandu.
Which days work in Nepal?
Saturday, both batches, and the Sunday evening batch at 8:15pm. The Sunday morning batch falls at 9:15am on a school day, so it rarely suits a child. Nepal has changed its weekly holiday more than once in recent years; this is how it stands at the time of writing.
What time are the classes in Nepal?
Our batches run Saturday morning IST (Sat 8:15am in Nepal), Saturday evening IST (Sat 7:15pm in Nepal), Sunday morning IST (Sun 9:15am in Nepal), Sunday evening IST (Sun 8:15pm in Nepal). If none of those suit, tell us the hours that do and we will build a batch around them. We schedule around the learner, not around Indian hours.
Do you have a centre in Nepal?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Every class is taught live over video by teachers in India, and our office is in HSR Layout, Sector 2, Bengaluru. That is what lets a family in Nepal learn from a teacher who grew up inside this tradition rather than one who is the nearest available.
How do we pay from Nepal?
Fees depend on the batch and how often it meets, and we take international payments. Message us on WhatsApp for the current fee list in your currency. The 30-minute trial class is free, with no payment details taken.
