Live online classes in Glasgow
Indian culture classesfor families in Glasgow.
Sanskrit, shlokas, chanting, the Ramayana and the Gita, storytelling, public speaking, Bharatanatyam and yoga, taught live from India, in small batches, at hours that work in Glasgow.
Glasgow keeps London's clock but not London's calendar. Scottish schools break for the summer at the end of June or the start of July, about three weeks before schools in England, and go back in mid-August, so the weeks a Glasgow family is away rarely match the weeks an English one is. That matters in a small batch, where a teacher plans recitation around who will be in the room. The timetable itself is Britain's: the Indian evening batches land at 1:30 and 2:30 on a winter weekend afternoon, an hour later in summer.

Times are shown for a term-time weekend and follow Glasgow's own daylight-saving calendar, so they may shift by an hour in summer. If none of these suit, tell us the hours that do: batches are built around the families who join them.

Every class below is open to every age, and every one is taught live in a small batch.
Samskara Seeding

Confidence Building
Voice, argument and presenceSpeaking, debating and standing in front of a room. The skills that decide whether what a child knows ever reaches anybody else.
Art & Craft
Dance, drawing and making, in the Indian traditionClassical dance, drawing, painting and making, taught through the forms and festival crafts this culture produced, including live online Bharatanatyam for beginners. Batches are opening now; timings are arranged with the families who join.

Questions from families in Glasgow
Do you follow the Scottish school holidays?
The timetable runs to the weekend all year, so there is nothing to follow. But tell us your school's dates when you join, and before you travel, and we will work the missed weeks out with you on Scottish dates rather than English ones.
Is the class time the same as London's?
Identical. Scotland and England are on one clock and move it on the same days, the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October, so the table above holds anywhere in Britain.
Is the teaching in English?
Throughout. No Sanskrit, Hindi or any other Indian language is assumed of a child or a parent, and most learners born in Scotland start from nothing.
What time are the classes in Glasgow?
Our batches run Saturday morning IST (Sat 2:30am in Glasgow), Saturday evening IST (Sat 1:30pm in Glasgow), Sunday morning IST (Sun 3:30am in Glasgow), Sunday evening IST (Sun 2:30pm in Glasgow). If none of those suit, tell us the hours that do and we will build a batch around them. We schedule around the learner, not around Indian hours.
Do you have a centre in Glasgow?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Every class is taught live over video by teachers in India, and our office is in HSR Layout, Sector 2, Bengaluru. That is what lets a family in Glasgow learn from a teacher who grew up inside this tradition rather than one who is the nearest available.
How do we pay from UK?
