Live online classes in Singapore
Indian culture classesfor families in Singapore.
Sanskrit, shlokas, chanting, the Ramayana and the Gita, storytelling, public speaking, Bharatanatyam and yoga, taught live from India, in small batches, at hours that work in Singapore.
Singapore is two and a half hours ahead of India and neither country observes daylight saving, so the class times here are fixed for good. It is also the market where a family is most likely to be doing something in this direction already, since the school system carries Tamil and Hindi as mother-tongue subjects. Parents usually arrive with a specific gap in mind rather than a general wish.

What families in Singapore can learn
Every class below is open to every age, and every one is taught live in a small batch.
Samskara Seeding

Confidence Building
Voice, argument and presenceSpeaking, debating and standing in front of a room. The skills that decide whether what a child knows ever reaches anybody else.
Art & Craft
Dance, drawing and making, in the Indian traditionClassical dance, drawing, painting and making, taught through the forms and festival crafts this culture produced, including live online Bharatanatyam for beginners. Batches are opening now; timings are arranged with the families who join.

Questions from families in Singapore
How does this sit alongside mother tongue at school?
Alongside it, not instead of it. Mother tongue is a language subject with an examination behind it; this is Sanskrit, shloka and chanting, and the Ramayana and the Gita as stories rather than as a syllabus. Families usually come to us for the part school does not cover: recitation, pronunciation, and the confidence to stand up and speak.
Do the times shift during the year?
Never. Neither Singapore nor India observes daylight saving, so the two-and-a-half-hour gap is fixed and the timetable on this page is correct every week of the year.
Is there a slot that suits a Singapore school week?
Every batch is a weekend batch, which is deliberate: a Singapore school week is full enough already. If a weekday slot would genuinely suit you better, tell us and we will look at building one.
What time are the classes in Singapore?
Our batches run Saturday morning IST (Sat 10:30am in Singapore), Saturday evening IST (Sat 9:30pm in Singapore), Sunday morning IST (Sun 11:30am in Singapore), Sunday evening IST (Sun 10:30pm in Singapore). If none of those suit, tell us the hours that do and we will build a batch around them. We schedule around the learner, not around Indian hours.
Do you have a centre in Singapore?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Every class is taught live over video by teachers in India, and our office is in HSR Layout, Sector 2, Bengaluru. That is what lets a family in Singapore learn from a teacher who grew up inside this tradition rather than one who is the nearest available.
How do we pay from Singapore?
Fees depend on the batch and how often it meets, and we take international payments. Message us on WhatsApp for the current fee list in your currency. The 30-minute trial class is free, with no payment details taken.
