Live online classes in Oman
Indian culture classesfor families in Oman.
Sanskrit, shlokas, chanting, the Ramayana and the Gita, storytelling, public speaking, Bharatanatyam and yoga, taught live from India, in small batches, at hours that work in Oman.
Gujarati trading families from Kutch have lived in Muscat for generations, some for well over a century, long before the oil years brought the larger wave of Indian families who live across Oman today. Between them they span every distance from India a family can have, from a household that has kept its traditions for five generations to one that arrived last year. The practical point is the week: Oman's weekend is Friday and Saturday, so the Saturday evening batch, at 5:30pm in Muscat, falls on a weekend and the Sunday one, at 6:30pm, falls after school.

Art & Craft

Questions from families in Oman
Does the Sunday class clash with school?
Not with the school day itself: it starts at 6:30pm in Muscat, after school and homework. For a younger child, the Saturday batch at 5:30pm is the easier choice, since it sits inside the weekend.
Do the class times change during the year?
No. Neither Oman nor India observes daylight saving, so Oman stays ninety minutes behind India and the times on this page hold all year.
Are the morning batches usable?
They land at 6:30am on Saturday and 7:30am on Sunday in Oman. The Saturday one suits early-rising families on a weekend; the Sunday one falls before school and suits adults more than children.
What time are the classes in Oman?
Our batches run Saturday morning IST (Sat 6:30am in Oman), Saturday evening IST (Sat 5:30pm in Oman), Sunday morning IST (Sun 7:30am in Oman), Sunday evening IST (Sun 6:30pm in Oman). If none of those suit, tell us the hours that do and we will build a batch around them. We schedule around the learner, not around Indian hours.
Do you have a centre in Oman?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Every class is taught live over video by teachers in India, and our office is in HSR Layout, Sector 2, Bengaluru. That is what lets a family in Oman learn from a teacher who grew up inside this tradition rather than one who is the nearest available.
How do we pay from Oman?
Fees depend on the batch and how often it meets, and we take international payments. Message us on WhatsApp for the current fee list in your currency. The 30-minute trial class is free, with no payment details taken.
